This book is about karma \u2013 the universal and timeless law of cause and effect, succinctly expressed in the words “what we sow, we reap”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four fundamental aspects of this law of actions and their results<\/em> are covered: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(1) We reap what we sow; <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(2) We reap more than we sow; <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(3) We don’t reap if we don’t sow; and, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(4) We reap both now and later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karma remains a deep and profound principle of life, and not\nall its workings can be precisely explained. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of this book is (1) to present a clear description of karma, as much as is possible, and (2) to show how awareness of karma can remarkably benefit our lives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karma \u2013 our actions and their results (fruits) \u2013 governs our\npresent reality, determines our future, and explains some of our past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Understanding and applying the law of karma allows us to better navigate the life we have, with all its mystery. We no longer need to feel that life unfolds in totally puzzling, strange, and bewildering ways. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, to our surprise, the principle of karma provides\nsatisfying answers that help make greater sense of life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Certain themes relating to karma are repeated in the book.\nSuch repetition has been retained as a means of gentle emphasis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Buddhist understanding is drawn on since this\ntradition has extensively written on the law of karma. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, while the focus of this book is about karma in the\npresent, it also touches on the possibility of rebirth, and that actions in\nthis life influence our future state. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By keeping an open mind on rebirth, we can stay receptive to possible new levels of insight, while realizing that specific details about an afterlife may remain unknowable and unsolvable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

May this book lead you to a place where you can personally\nexperience the exciting reality of karma \u2013 a law governing life that can enable\nyou to see, and better manage, the causes of your own suffering and happiness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
