(c) The mind and rebirth<\/em> \u2013 Is there a continuity of consciousness?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(d) What happens at death?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(2) Realities of Life<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

(a) The preciousness of a human life<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(b) Impermanence and death<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(c) The law of karma \u2014 actions and their effects<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(d) The sufferings of all human beings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(3) About Dying<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

(a) Death is inevitable and certain<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(b) The time of death is uncertain<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(c) Nothing can help<\/em> at the time of death, except spiritual realities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(d) Attachment and hope for fame<\/em>; aversion and fear toward\ndisrepute<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(5) A Spiritual Path<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

(a) That acknowledges the problems, difficulties, suffering,\nand unsatisfactory conditions of life<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(b) That explains the causes of life\u2019s unsatisfactory\nexperiences and suffering<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(c) That shows how the pain, suffering, heartache, and\nmiseries in life can be brought to cessation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(d) That provides a way of life that can be cultivated and\npracticed that will irreversibly bring an end to all suffering<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(6) Ultimate Refuge<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

(a) How can an ignorant person overcome their own ignorance?\nAre there wisdom beings who have already done so and that one can rely on?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(b) Can we follow the path they have traced and for which\nthey have left instructions?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(c) Is there a community of those who follow that path and would be travelling companions? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(d) What is my ultimate refuge? <\/p>\n\n\n
